About the Artist

Valentina Milaychev is an accomplished oil painter celebrated for her vibrant interpretations of the dynamic interplay between light, movement, and nature. Working from her custom-built studio nestled under a California oak in Monterey, she finds joy in translating her surroundings into vivid colors and forms.

Her artistic repertoire spans landscapes, seascapes, figurative works, and florals, often inspired by the wild beauty of the Monterey Peninsula. Valentina is particularly captivated by life's movements—be it water, wind, light, human gestures, or animal motion. While oil on canvas remains her primary medium, she occasionally explores various media and techniques to enrich her creative expression.

Committed to continuous growth, Valentina participates in several workshops annually, seeking fresh ideas and inspiration. Her work has been featured in numerous art shows and exhibits across California's Central Coast. She also contributes to the local art community as a board member of the Central Coast Art Association, serving as the newsletter editor.
