Born and raised in Belarus, I had immigrated to the United States in 1989. Although, I have a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, I was always interested in art and loved drawing since my early childhood. Over the years I took various art classes and workshops, and had continued doing so after moving to Monterey, CA in 2012, which provided me with so many opportunities and inspirations.
As an artist, I express myself through oils on canvas, but also like experimenting with different styles, media, and techniques of painting. While my genres are diverse - landscapes, seascapes, figurative - I am most passionate about capturing the movement of life, water, wind, light. I am fascinated with impressionistic and expressionistic styles and my inspirational artists include Monet, Cezanne, Degas, and Turner.
Currently I participate in various Art Shows and Exhibits on Central Coast California, and enjoy volunteering on the board of Central Coast Art Association chairs and officers.
